About Me
Hi there.
Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me
My name is Joshua Manney, but you can call me Josh. My preferred pronouns are he/him/him. I identify as neurodivergent (ADHD) and as a CIS gendered male. I am originally from the East Coast (Philadelphia suburbs) and moved to California in 2020s. So far I am loving this new experience and super grateful for the sunshine, mountains, and beach.
I am a father to two awesome kiddos, ages 13 and 11, who are both currently in Middle School (yikes!). We love spending time going to the movies to see our favorite MCU films (love them all) , watching new shows together (our favorite right now is Glee) and going on road trips to explore Zoos and Aquariums (Monterey is our favorite, really any place with Sea Otters).
When I’m not with my kids I really enjoy going to the mountains to snowboard, visiting new places, and playing, making and listening to music. I’m constantly looking for ways to grow both personally and professionally, and love to bounce around to new things. Does this sound familiar to my ADHD folks out there?
Why Work With Me?
I became a therapist because I want to help people navigate life in a way that leaves them feeling fulfilled and content. I know firsthand the struggles that come along with being a human person, and I hope to help others to be able to overcome whatever life throws at them.
I am passionate about this work. I’m constantly learning new techniques and concepts about mental, physical, and emotional health. I believe in a holistic approach to mental health and also believe that one size doesn’t fit all. We all need love, connection, support, and fulfillment, but we all need it in different ways. I hope to leave this world with the feeling that I’ve truly helped others to live the life that they deserve to live. One where they can overcome anything, be loving to themselves and others, and look back on their lives with kindness.
